Emmanuel J. Fontaine, age 69, of Lake Mary, Fl, peacefully passed away on July 20, 2022 surrounded by his wife, three daughters, two sisters, sister-in-law, son-in-law and nephew

He was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on April 2, 1953 to Josias Fontaine and Cloraine Pierre Fontaine. Emmanuel came to the United States in 1973 to join the rest of his family who had already immigrated to Boston. He graduated from Boston College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Emmanuel married his elementary school sweetheart, M-Lunie Fontaine, on December 24, 1977.

Emmanuel had a career as a manager in the accounting department at Suntrust Bank for over a decade and then worked as a Medical Office Manager until he retired.

He had a passion for music, reading, enjoying long walks with his wife outdoors, and visiting his children, grandchildren, and many family members.

He is survived by his wife, M-Lunie Fontaine, his children, Farrah Fontaine Felix and her husband Pathelin Felix, Natasha Fontaine, and Stacey Fontaine-Skelly and her husband Mark Skelly, his grandchildren, Tendayi Kumbula III and Nandie Kumbula, his three brothers Pierre-Michel Fontaine, Wilson Andre, and Yves Fontaine as well as his three sisters, Marlene Mahotiere, Jacqueline Dorleans, and Rose Fontaine-Nelson and many of his nieces, nephews, in-laws, family and friends.

He also had a very close and special relationship with several family members and in-laws, including his niece, Fayoola Wilson and his brother-in-law, Dr. Harry Jean-Baptiste.
