One person was killed after two planes were overturned by severe winds at the Orlando Executive Airport.

The Orlando Fire Department and local law enforcement officials responded to the airport on Thursday, September 1, at around 5:17 p.m, after calls were received regarding planes being overturned.

According to airport officials, two planes were overturned due to severe weather that passed through the area. One of the planes was unoccupied, while the other had two individuals onboard.

One of those individuals was killed after the vehicle overturned.

That person has not been identified by authorities.

“Our thoughts are with the families of those involved in this incident,” reads a statement from the airport.
