Falcon 9 launch on October 8

A St. Cloud resident captured a spectacular photograph during last weekend’s launch of Falcon 9.

On Saturday, October 8 at 7:05 p.m., Falcon 9 launched at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Michael Cain, a resident of St. Cloud, traveled to Titusville to capture photographs of the launch. Using his Nikon D500 camera, Cain was able to capture the moment the rocket passed by the full moon.

The launch was the 14th launch and landing of the booster, which previously supported the launch of GPS III-3, Turksat 5A, Transporter-2, and ten Starlink missions.

The Falcon 9 was carrying Intelsat’s Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34 satellites.
