Bob Donnelly passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side on October 11, 2022.

Bob was born on January 13, 1947. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1964. He went on to study Electrical Engineering at Wentworth Institute, University of Miami and Northeastern University. After graduating with his engineering degree in 1973 and continued his education and became a licensed professional engineer in several state. Bob went on to create his own engineering firm, Donnelly Engineering.

Bob is remembered by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane; his children: Jennifer (Jonathan Brinegar) and Jason (Chad Lewis); grandchildren, Brendan (Noyra), Ryan, Madison and Rachel. He also survived by his siblings, Peter Donnelly (Susan); Barbara Cecere (Eugene); Kathleen Robertson (William) and David Donnelly.

Bob was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Michelle, and his parents.

Bob moved to Orlando, FL in 1991 where he reopened Donnelly Engineering. Electrical Engineering was his passion. He loved it so much and never wanted to retire. He was a wealth of knowledge, proud of his work ethic and would freely share his expertise with clients and colleagues. Bob enjoyed coaching baseball with his boys in both Easton, MA and the Dr. Phillips community. Bob’s hobbies included traveling, cooking, playing his guitar and all competitive sports. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Bob’s jokes, riddles and his classic “true stories” will fondly be remembered by all.

Sunday, 10/16/22 – 4:00 p.m. – Visitation and vigil will be held at Robert Bryant Funeral Home, 321 East Michigan St., Orlando, FL.

Monday, 10/17/22 – 12:00 p.m. – Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL. The burial at Dr. Phillips Cemetery, 5410 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL will follow.
