SeaWorld has released more details on what the company calls a “first-of-its-kind surf coaster.”
Pipeline will open at SeaWorld Orlando next Spring, marking the park’s seventh addition to its “Coaster Capital of Orlando” moniker.
The new roller coaster will feature 2,950 feet of track, with a top height of 110 feet and a top speed of 60 mph.
Unlike other roller coasters in Florida and around the country, the new coaster will keep riders in a standing position, with platforms that will simulate riding waves.
The ride will make use of a harness that will keep riders secure while also allowing them to move freely.
Only riders who are 54″ and taller will be able to ride the new coaster.
Earlier this year, the park opened its first launch roller coaster with Ice Breaker, which reaches a maximum height of 93 feet, maximum speeds of 52 mph, and has 1,900 feet of track.
