A Tex-Mex restaurant that got its start nearly a decade ago in Florida has opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the Orlando area.
Capital Tacos celebrated the grand opening of its first physical location at 7484 University Boulevard in Winter Park on Monday, November 21.
As its name suggests, the restaurant serves up a wide variety of tacos, as well as burritos, quesadillas, and taco bowls.
Tacos come with either 6-inch corn or flour tortillas, as well as multiple choices for protein, including fried fish, bacon, house-made chorizo, shrimp, carnitas, and fried chicken, among others.
Burritos include the same proteins, and come stuffed with Mexican rice and black beans, which also make up the base of the bowls.
For dessert, the Capital Tacos serves up mini churros, raspberry chimi, and traditional Mexican cheesecake. The restaurant also regularly features multiple specials and secret menu items.
Established in 2013, the fast casual Tex-Mex restaurant currently operates a digital kitchen in Orlando out of 18 N. Dollins Avenue, as well as six other locations in southwest Florida. Another establishment in Clermont is also currently in the works.
Capital Tacos is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information on the menu and services offered by the restaurant, visit the Capital Tacos website.
