Fireworks warehouse on fire in Orange County

A third person has died from injuries sustained during an explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Orange County last week.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Landon Bourland, 24, has died from injuries he sustained while working at a warehouse at 901 Central Florida Parkway that was housing fireworks.

Last week, law enforcement authorities reported that 22-year-old David Gonzalez and 23-year-old Lindsey Phillips had died from injuries sustained during the explosion.

During that incident on Thursday, December 1, dozens of emergency units and firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of heavy flames and smoke emanating from the warehouse due to an explosion.

Over 80 firefighters and 30 emergency units worked to douse the flames. Crews made multiple rescues during the incident, transporting four patients from the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. No firefighters received injuries, according to authorities.
