Police dispelled rumors of an alleged school shooting scheduled to take place at St. Cloud Middle School on Friday.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, on Thursday, December 15, multiple reports were received from students and parents regarding a possible school shooting planned for St. Cloud Middle School on Friday, December 16.
The middle school is located at 1975 Michigan Avenue in St. Cloud.
Detectives investigated the reports and deemed that they held “no credible threat,” according to a statement issued by SCPD.
Authorities say that out of “an abundance of caution,” officers conducted extra patrols around school areas to “ensure students’ safety.”
In October, a 15-year-old student was arrested after he allegedly attacked a resource officer at St. Cloud High School.
