A restaurant that has been serving up Colombian food out of its location in Longwood has expanded to another location in Lake Mary.
Colombia La Bella opened its second location in Seminole County at 3801 W Lake Mary Boulevard, in the Lake Mary Village shopping plaza, earlier this year.
The restaurant’s menu features an extensive offering of traditional and classic Colombian dishes, including appetizers like empanadas, arepas, pandebonos, buñuelo, chicharrón, and tostones, among others.
Among the classic dishes available is bandeja paisa, which features rice, beans, arepa, chorizo, plantain, chicharrón, avocado, and beef. Chicken, steak, and seafood are all mainstays that come prepared in a variety of ways, including “a la plancha” (grilled).
In addition to lunch and dinner meals, breakfast options include calentao prepared in a variety of ways. Calentao is a dish that is traditionally made from reheated leftovers including rice, egg, pasta, beans, potatoes and other foods.
The restaurant also features a long list of traditional Latin American beverages. Those include aguapanela, which is made from sugar cane juice, and refajo, which is made with beer, ice, and Colombian soda.
The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
