Orlando police have released an image of an armed suspect who carjacked a vehicle in the departures section of the Orlando International Airport.
On Tuesday, Orlando Police Department released a description and an image of a man accused of robbing a car that was waiting outside of the Frontier Airlines curbside station at the airport.
Airport police units responded to the incident at 12:10 a.m. on Monday, January 9. According to police, an unknown man dressed in dark clothing approached the driver’s door of a vehicle while armed with a gun.
The victim says the suspect entered the vehicle before she exited immediately thereafter.
After approximately 10 to 20 minutes, law enforcement authorities were notified and a be-on-the-lookout was issued to surrounding agencies.
Authorities say that the stolen vehicle was recovered in the Casselberry area.
The man is described as a clean-shaven, white male in his mid-20s, with an average build and dirty blond or brown hair. The man was wearing a black crew neck sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark shoes, and was carrying a black backpack.
