A popular fast food franchise that specializes in Filipino street foods and fried chicken will celebrate the grande opening of its first location in Orlando this week.
Jollibee will officially open its doors in east Orlando at 11891 E Colonial Drive on Wednesday, January 18, according to the company’s website.
The new location will offer dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru services, and will serve up the popular menu that the restaurant has become known for across the United States.
That menu features traditional fast food staples like fried chicken, burgers, drinks and desserts. But it also features things like spaghetti, as well as palabok, which is a traditional Filipino noodle dish covered in garlic sauce, sauteed pork, shrimp, and egg.
Burgers also come in a smothered, steak variety that includes rice and gravy.
Founded in 1978 in the Philippines, Jollibee currently operates four locations in Florida, 70 across the United States, and 1,300 locations across the world. The Orlando location joins others in Jacksonville, Pembroke Pines, and Pinellas Park.
A slew of restaurants in Orlando have celebrated grand openings in recent months, including Aussie Grill, a fast-casual concept that serves the popular Outback Steakhouse menu. Last year, Barrio Tacos, Cruncheese Korean Corndogs, and Dave’s Hot Chicken opened locations at Waterford Lakes.
