A new sports bar offering cocktails alongside classic games like foosball and chess has opened its doors in downtown Orlando.

Game Room & Social Club is now open for business at 55 N Orange Avenue. The business officially opened on January 20, replacing Lizzy McCormack’s Irish Pub, which closed down this summer after 18 years in business.

Owned and operated by Garito Hospitality, the new concept bills itself as a “new breed of hospitality” in a space that is not “simply a nightclub” or bar, according to the company’s website. Garito Hospitality is also behind Sly Fox Pub at 63 N Orange Avenue, as well as Parliament House, a new concept coming to 29 S. Orange Avenue.

In addition to craft beers and cocktails, the business features a variety of classic games including chess, checkers, foosball, and shuffleboard, as well as multiple televisions airing sporting events.

Game Room & Social Club is open seven days a week, from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m., with happy hours taking place between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. For more information on the business, visit the Game Room & Social Club website.
