A new smash burger restaurant has opened its doors in downtown Orlando.
Papi Smash Burger is in the midst of a soft opening at 66 E Pine Street in downtown Orlando. The business officially opened its doors on Friday, March 3 and is currently operating with a limited menu.
Owned and operated by Chris Hernandez, the restaurant is the successor of Papi’s Food Truck, which served up similar cuisine.
Papi Smash’s menu features a slate of smash burgers that are made with grass-fed beef, as well as chicken sandwiches and fries.
The burgers feature toppings and ingredients that pay homage to Hernandez’s Hispanic culture, including both sweet and savory plantains, churrasco, and yuca.
In addition to its burger options, the restaurant features a variety of fries that come normal or Chulo style, covered with Manchego cheese, chorizo, and onions.
For dessert, Papi Smash offers multiple types of shakes, including ones with alcohol.
The restaurant joins multiple others that have opened new locations in downtown Orlando over the past year. That includes Stemma Craft Coffee, Huey Magoo’s, Tacos My Guey, Taco Kat, and Solita Tacos and Margaritas.
