A Florida-themed apparel shop that got its start as a pop-up at the East End Market has opened a new shop in College Park.
Freehand Goods celebrated its grand opening at 2445 Edgewater Drive this past weekend, replacing El Vic’s Kitchen, which closed its doors in September 2022.
Founded in 2016 by owners Seth Daniels and Jacob Zepf, Freehand Goods specializes in producing leather goods, grooming products, locally-printed shirts, hats, and candles, among other products.
All of the goods are handcrafted by the company locally and are inspired by Orlando and the Florida lifestyle.
Additionally, the the shop offers dozens of different craft beers and wines for purchase.
Freehand Goods joins a slate of new businesses moving into College Park, after closures of multiple long-time tenants.
That includes The Current Seafood Counter, which is currently under construction at the former location of Jade Sushi & New Asian. Jade Sushi closed its doors in November. It also includes The Castle Irish Pub, which is currently under construction at the former location of Thai Farm Kitchen.
In October, Pizza Bruno opened its second location in the same development, next door to The Current. Earlier last year, Honolulu Harry’s opened a new restaurant that serves modern Hawaiian cuisine.
