An argument between two adult drivers on a street leading into an elementary school in Altamonte Springs prompted a code red on the campus.
On Tuesday, April 18, Altamonte Springs Police Department officers responded to reports of an argument between two adult drivers on a street leading to Forest City Elementary School, which is located at 1010 Sand Lake Road.
During the incident, police believe a firearm was observed by one of the drivers prior to pulling into the school parking lot.
According to authorities, the school resource officer assigned to the school acted quickly and initiated a code red for the safety of students and staff.
The SRO then immediately made contact with the suspect in the parking lot and secured the scene.
The suspect, identified on Wednesday, April 19 as 41-year-old Vincent Rosa, was arrested and charged with exhibition of a weapon at a school and aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony.
ASPD determined that there was no threat to the campus, students, or staff and the school was dismissed a short time thereafter.
