Angelo Cane of Altamonte Springs, FL is now with his Heavenly Father as of April 23, 2023.
Angelo was born to parents, Della and Angelo Cane Sr. on May 8, 1944 and raised in Buffalo, NY where he met the love of his life, Carol Mancuso Cane, and raised their two sons, Joseph and Angelo Jr., initially in Buffalo, and then largely in Tonawanda, NY.
Angelo worked at Quebecor for many years until he retired. He loved to bowl, golf, play in the Gus Macker basketball tournaments, go to shows at Shea’s Buffalo, spend time with family and friends, and enjoyed a good Ted’s hotdog and Anderson’s frozen custard whenever possible.
Angelo and Carol moved to Altamonte Springs, FL in 2002, where Carol eventually retired and both continued working as volunteers at the local hospital and pain center. Angelo loved going to the golf range and golfing with his son, Angelo Jr. and friends as much as possible. Forever a Bills fan, he caught every game on TV and never gave up on his beloved team. Angelo loved to bake and was known among family and friends and even paying customers, for his delicious treats. He loved listening to Motown music while baking, and when relaxing, loved the sounds of Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion. Angelo enjoyed his personal connections with people, took many road trips with Carol to visit their grandsons, and loved meeting family and friends for coffee, talking about the Bills, participating in the transplant games, and enjoying life to its fullest.
Despite countless health issues over the years, Angelo was known among family and friends as the “real life energizer bunny,” as he just kept on going. While forever here in spirit, Angelo physically leaves behind his wife, Carol Mancuso Cane of Altamonte Springs, FL, his son Joseph of Cumming, GA, his son Angelo Jr. (Ann) of Orlando, FL, his three grandsons, Landon, Garrett and Colin of Cumming, GA, his brother Dan Cane (Shirley) of Depew, NY, his sister Shirley Vizzi (the late Sam Vizzi) of Tonawanda, NY and many other beloved family members and friends in Western New York and Florida. Angelo is predeceased by his parents Angelo and Della Cane as well as his brother Sonny and many of his favorite people who have crossed over before him, and no doubt were there to greet him when it was his time to do the same.
A Mass will be held on May 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714 and in the near future, date to be determined, a celebration of life in Buffalo, NY.
