OCFR crews attack fire at Lake Nona building on April 28

A Lake Nona building partially collapsed after it caught fire on Friday morning.

Orange County Fire Rescue units responded to an abandoned building in the 12000 block of Narcoosee Road on Friday, April 28 after receiving reports regarding a fire.

Upon arrival, crews found a heavy fire on the first and second floor of a building. The fire engulfed both floors before being knocked down by OCFR firefighters.

According to officials, the second floor of the building collapsed while crews were battling the fire.

The State Fire Marshall has been notified about the incident in order to investigate its cause.
