The city is searching for artists who will help transform traffic boxes in downtown Orlando into public art pieces.

The City District Traffic Box Art Program is asking artists to submit proposals to paint 13 traffic boxes located throughout the downtown area.

Artists will be chosen by a volunteer selection committee and will be provided with a stipend and all necessary supplies to complete their artwork.

“We’re looking for artists who have a unique style and perspective, and who are passionate about creating art that speaks to our community,” reads a statement from the organization.
