Orange County Public Schools will host a summit to help educators learn how to identify and assist homeless students in the district.

The Central Florida Homeless Education Summit will take place on Friday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Windermere High School, which is located at 5523 Winter Garden Vineland Road in Windermere.

The third installment of the event will see 500 educators throughout Central Florida receive information and assistance on how to identify homelessness amongst students, as well as provide resources to assist.

In addition to the Expo Hall, there will be more than 25 sessions available on a variety of topics, including a poverty simulation, fair housing laws, and resources available for students and families.
