Miss Venezuela killed after rear-ending semi-truck in Lake Nona

Authorities have identified a 26-year-old woman that was killed after rear-ending a semi-truck in Lake Nona as the current Miss Venezuela.

Ariana Viera was killed in a fatal accident on Thursday, July 13, at around 10:05 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a crash report from FHP, Viera was driving her 2021 Mazda CX-30 southbound on Boggy Creek Road when she failed to slow down for a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck that was slowing down for a flashing red light.

As a result, Viera’s vehicle collided with the rear of the semi-truck. She was transported to the UCF Lake Nona Hospital, where she passed away days later.

“God is the only one who can understand this emptiness that I have inside me,” reads a statement posted by Viera’s mother, Vivian Ochoa, to the late model’s Instagram page on July 20.

Viera was a model and CEO of her family’s cleaning company, Full House Cleaning. She appeared in Winter Park Fashion Week, Orlando Fashion Week, and countless other events where she modeled clothing.
