The city of Orlando is hosting a workshop to connect residents of local neighborhoods with assets in their community.
Asset-Based Community Development: Connecting with Your Neighborhood’s Assets will take place on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Internal Operations Center 1, Located at 450 East South Street in Orlando.
The workshop is designed to teach neighborhood leaders and volunteers new strategies through “civic and social networking.” Participants will learn the ABCD approach to enhancing and supporting a neighborhood organization’s capacity to identify, promote, and connect with their neighborhood assets.
ABCD builds on the gifts (skills, experiences, knowledge, and passions) of neighbors, local businesses, and community and faith-based organizations.
