Donna Malone Caldwell was born August 6, 1947, in Paris, Illinois to Dorothy and Albert “Bus” Malone and had one sibling, Michael Malone.

In 1956, the family relocated to Orlando, Florida where she attended Killarney Elementary, Robert E. Lee Junior High and Edgewater High School, class of 1965. Donna had a lot of adventures in her life, living in New Orleans, Basalt, and Canyon City, Colorado. She had one child, daughter, Selena Lane (Caldwell) Castellanos. Donna didn’t care much for material things, she loved music, Laura Nyro and Fleetwood Mac were favorites. She loved sci-fi movies, was creative and a talented seamstress. She worked many jobs; Donna once sold furs out of a teepee in Colorado, she was a secretary at the State Penitentiary, a waitress, bartender, nanny and ultimately began her own housekeeping business.

Donna loved Jesus and was a member of Northwest Community Church for over 20 years. Donna lived life on her terms, she was funny, she hated Math, she loved her kids, her church family, close neighbors and her cat Boomer. Donna had a sweet tooth beyond measure, Wendy’s Frosty and a regular, Regular from Gabriel’s Subs with a large chocolate shake were top of her “favorites” list.

Donna is survived by her daughter Selena Lane, son in law Ernesto Castellanos, Grandchildren, Joshua, Kennedy, and Gabriel Castellanos, great granddaughter Sloan Eleanor and Joshua’s wife, Emily Castellanos.

We are celebrating a colorful life, filled with adventures and love.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on September 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. At the DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory – West Orange, located at 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd. in Ocoee.
