Our beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend Jane Burgess Forest passed away after fighting a long battle with cancer. She passed away gracefully and peacefully surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Massachusetts alongside her twin brother, John, Jane was a gifted and talented artist whose creativity touched everyone she met.

After attending Framingham State College, Jane met her husband, Norm Bourgeois. They were married in Bedford, Massachusetts, and moved to Florida together, settling in Sanford. Jane and Norm spent many years enjoying the warmth and sun of Florida, creating a comfortable home with a beautiful backyard that they both enjoyed.

Jane was a foodie who loved to cook, while Norm baked cookies and breads to complement Jane’s delicious meals.

Jane was known for her painting skills and incredible artistry she brought to every project she completed. Her attention to detail shone through in all of the parties she planned, every card she carefully crafted for her friends’ and family’s birthdays, and every decoration she created for special events and holidays. Jane first worked as a graphic designer and later as an executive administrative assistant at Maronda Homes for many years.

Jane is survived by her husband of 38 years, Norm Bourgeois. She is survived by her sister, Susan Komorowski and husband John, of Damariscotta, Maine; her sister, Donna Forest and her husband Rick Flint, of New London, New Hampshire; her brother, John Forest of Townsend, Massachusetts; her sister, Nancy Forest and her husband, Peter Lawton, of Sanford, Florida; and her goddaughter, Maggie Lawton of Missoula, Montana. Jane was predeceased by her mother, Lucille Forest of Townsend, and father, Roland Forest of Ashby, Massachusetts. Jane is missed by her many nieces and nephews across the country, as well as her friends and other family members in Florida.

We appreciate all of your well wishes and thank everyone in advance for their kind words and flowers. If you would like to make a donation in memory of Jane, please donate to AdventHealth Hospice Care or your local hospice center.
