Law enforcement authorities have arrested two suspects in connection is with a shooting at a local Publix that left injured a 17-year-old.

The shooting took place at the Publix located at 29 Blake Blvd in Celebration on Wednesday, October 11, at around 2:40 p.m., according to a statement issued by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arriving at the scene, detectives located a juvenile victim who was shot multiple times while he was in the parking lot of the grocery store. The teen was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and is stable condition as of Thursday afternoon.

During their investigation, detectives say the victim identified the shooter as 17-year-old Morrell Deon Lee, Jr. The detectives reviewed video surveillance footage that showed a blue vehicle involved in the incident. They determined that the blue vehicle, which was registered to an individual in Polk County, was being driven by 18-year-old Maliky Kris Blair.

Detectives and members of the SWAT team executed a search warrant at Lee’s address and were able to recover live ammunition and firearms. Blair was booked into Polk County Jail on criminal traffic violations. Authorities say that more charges are forthcoming for Blair.

Lee was transported to juvenile detention on multiple felony charges, including premeditated murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm in public, among others.
