Decerece Andre was born in St. Marc, Haiti, in the region of Latibonit, he was one of six children of Jean Andre, father and Sidamene Preuve, mother.

As a child, those around him could see and feel the fire burning in him for greater things and a better life. At the age of 15, he worked in the fields to help support his family, but that was not enough for him. At the age of 22, he embarked on his quest to live in the United States. He moved to New York on his own with no family or friends and with limited resources. Living on bare necessities, he was able to find work and supported his wife and firstborn who was still in Haiti.

He soon endeavored into the taxi business and purchased a medallion. He approached the taxi business the same as he did with everything vigor, passion and a sense of purpose. He remarried while residing in New York and purchased a home in Long Island as his family expanded with five more children. Decerece Andre was passionate about life, especially his children. He later purchased a home in Florida, to ensure his family and children would have a better opportunity to succeed and thrive. After many years of residing in Florida, the opportunity to remarry was chosen. To this union, three more children were added to his family.

Let’s celebrate the hardest working man we knew and loved. The greatest father, who lived life with great vigor, passion and ethical beliefs. Whose children called him Daddy, whose wife called him Cherie, with many friends and colleagues that called him the brother from another mother. He touched and contributed to us all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Jeannedie, sons; Chodry (Kataya), Wesley, Jordan, Derick and Derran: daughters; Nadine, Judith, Cassandra and Deanne; grandchildren: Kayla, Artayia, Zachariah, Venise, Zariya, Kamerin, Aiden, Malia and Wesley, Jr.; a host of other family members and friends.
