Mildred Forest, age 92, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. She was born on September 29, 1931 in New Alexandria, Pennsylvania to parents, Roy and Mildred Fullerton and was raised in Pennsylvania.
Jean married Edward Forest on June 10, 1954 and were married for 69 years before his passing in April.
She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Geneva College and also a Masters Degree from University of Central Florida.
Jean was a much beloved teacher, and worked at Aloma Elementary School. Jean enjoyed rooting for the Braves, the Lightning. Most of all she had a passion for Jesus Christ. She felt her highest calling was being a “Gammy” to her 10 grandchildren. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. Jean loved people and always had a smile or a kind word for everyone she met. Jean also enjoyed knitting baby blankets and gifting them to others. She was very artistic and had the most beautiful cursive writing.
Jean was a member of Reformed Presbyterian Church for 70 years.
She is survived by her children, Tom Forest, Roy and his wife Carla Crumley-Forest, James and his wife Cathy Forest; grandchildren, Anna and her husband Austin Davis, Austin Forest, Adam Forest, Sam and his wife, Annie Forest, Stephen Forest, Paul Forest, Sean Forest, Dan Forest, Drew Forest and Katie and her husband Kyle Hicks.
A memorial service for Jean will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. at Reformed Presbyterian Church, 324 E. Livingston Street, Orlando, FL 32801.
