A chili restaurant that opened its first location in Cincinnati over 70 years ago has opened its first location in Central Florida.

Skyline Chili held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new location at Flamingo Crossings Town Center on Wednesday.

Located at 2231 Western Way in Winter Garden, the new location was announced last year and is the first foray for the company into the center of the state.

Skyline currently operates five other locations in the state of Florida in Clearwater, Sunrise, Bradenton, Naples, and Fort Myers. The company also operates dozens of locations across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, as well as five restaurants in Florida located in

Known for serving its namesake in a variety of “ways,” Skyline Chili’s menu features chili in burritos and bowls, on fries and potatoes, and on hot dogs known as Coneys.

The restaurant joins several other new restaurants that have opened their doors at the town center.

That includes White Rabbit Dessert Experience, which opened its second location at Flamingo Crossings Town Center after opening its first location in Florida at Waterford Lakes last year.

Skyline Chili is also one of several companies based in the Midwest that have recently expanded their enterprises into Orlando.

That includes Portillos, which is currently building multiple new locations in the area after successfully expanding into the Tampa area years ago.

White Castle built its first ever Central Florida location just next door to Portillo’s at 11595 Daryl Carter Parkway.

Skyline Chili is open seven days a week, from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information on the restaurant or its menu, visit Skyline Chili online.
