A vehicle that caught fire while it was parked in a DeLand driveway was quickly extinguished by local firefighters.
DeLand Fire Department units responded to 341 Heritage Estates Lane at around 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, in reference to a vehicle fire with structural endangerment.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered flames emanating from a sport utility vehicle that was parked in the drive-way of the single-family residence.
Two occupants of the home were evacuated and the fire was safely extinguished, according to authorities.
No one injuries were reported and no one was inside the vehicle at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to authorities.
