An Ohio-based ice cream chain that creates exotic flavors from scratch, including everything bagel and pineapple upside-down cake, has expanded into central Florida for the first time.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams opened its first location in the area at 510 Orlando Avenue in Winter Park earlier this month.
With dozens of unique flavors to choose from, the restaurant says it has perfected its recipe, promising ice creams that have a “uniquely smooth texture and buttercream body, with bright flavor and clean finish.”
Flavors range from sudo-traditional classics like wildberry lavender, honey vanilla bean, and strawberry buttermilk, to exotic flavors like dark chocolate truffle or everything bagel, which features a cream cheese ice cream with everything bagel gravel.
Founded by Jeni Britton Bauer in Columbus in 2002, the ice cream chain currently operates over two dozen locations across the United States. The establishment in Winter Park is only the third in the state of Florida, joining other locations in Sarasota and Tampa.
In addition to selling its products at local scoop shops, Jeni’s ice creams are available for purchase at Publix locations, and online.
