A 48-year-old woman was killed in a car accident after her Lexus ran off an Orlando roadway and crashed into a palm tree.
The fatal accident took place at around 1:14 a.m. on Sunday, December 17.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman, who was from Winter Park, was traveling eastbound on University Boulevard, just east of Calibre Bend Trail, in a 2017 Lexus sedan.
For unknown reasons, the woman ran off the right side of the roadway, in a southeasterly direction, before her vehicle began to rotate clockwise.
The Lexus then collided with a curb before the left side collided with a palm tree on the south shoulder of University Boulevard.
The driver was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
