Armando Higinio Moreno was born in Holguín, Oriente, Cuba. He was the third child of Belisario Moreno and Elisa Delgado. His siblings, Amelia, George and Georgina, are resting in the Lord. His first education was in Holguín, his secondary school was the Colegio De Las Antillas, in Santa Clara, where he graduated as a teacher with pastoral subjects. He served as a teacher and pastor in Las Delicias, some time later he was transferred to Holguín where he organized the first choir in the Olguin Adventist Church.

He left Cuba for Spain in 1969. He arrived at the Vallecas church where he organized a choir and took care of the piano and hymns. Three years later, in 1972, he came to the United States with a baking contract in Newark, NJ. In 1973, he visited Miami, FL where he met the love of his life, Ana Collera. They talked by phone and in letters for 6 months before getting married. Together they worked helping plant churches in Northwest, Miami and Longwood, FL (now Casselberry). I help with music, playing the piano, forming quartets and choirs.

God blessed him by giving them 2 daughters, Sandra and Maria, who have been help and support at all times. He was a great inspiration in the medical career of his granddaughter, Anabel Elisa and her passion for capturing family moments with her camera for her grandson, Nicholas. He is survived by his younger brother, Fernando, sister-in-law, Rebeca, and many nephews, cousins, and members of the church he met through faith.

We hope one day to be able to say with complete certainty the words he said before he died: “I am talking to God, He is calling me and I am ready to go with Him” - Soon we will all be reunited at the second coming of Jesus.
