Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at an Orlando gas station that left a store clerk injured from gunshot wounds.

Tylon Lashad Dunn, 18, and Robert Menist-Mendez, who turned 29 today, were both arrested on Friday in connection with a robbery that took place earlier this morning.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Circle K gas station located at 6949 Silver Star Road at around 1:23 a.m. in reference to an attempted robbery.

Upon arrival, deputies found a store employee in his 30s laying on the floor of the business, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to authorities.

Around 30 minutes after deputies arrived at the scene, they observed two males across the street from the gas station who matched the description of the suspects involved in the armed robbery.

The men, who were later identified as Dunn and Menist-Mendez, were not wearing clothing at the time. During their investigation, deputies found video surveillance showing the suspects flee the scene and remove their clothing.

A black jacket, gray shirt, and. black sunglasses were all found at a strip mall across the street from the gas station. Deputies also found a revolver with one spent casing at the location.

Both Dunn and Menist-Mendez face charges of attempted robbery with a firearm and mask and attempted felony murder with a firearm. They are being held at the Orange County Jail.
