Victor Sierra, age 83, went home peacefully to his Heavenly Father on January 30, 2024.
Born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, Victor and his family moved to Delaware at the age of 13. His first job was at Wilmington Country Club where he discovered his love of golf. He later worked as a Forklift Operator for Standard Distributing for 35 years until his retirement in 2000. In 2005, Victor and his wife, Aida, moved to Florida to enjoy their retired life.
Not only did Victor love golfing, but he enjoyed landscaping, fishing and cooking. He loved to be surrounded by family and friends and often hosted get-togethers where lifelong friendships were formed. He had a giving spirit and would always lend a hand to anyone without hesitation.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Aida Sierra; their three daughters, Lisa Sierra, Debbie Sierra and Stephanie Sierra; their two grandchildren, Timothy Brown and Jordan Sierra, whom he helped raise and held close to his heart; his sons Luis Sierra and Ricardo Sierra; his daughters Delia Nelson, Carmen Martinez, Wanda Perry and Susan Sierra; his sister Olga Collazo (Angel); and brother Pedro Sierra, Sr. (Ramona). Victor’s legacy extends to 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Lucia Sierra; his brother Ramon Sierra; his sisters Cristina Otero, Aida Sanchez and Carmen Resto; his son Victor Sierra Jr.; his daughter Carmen Sierra-Moyet; his grandson Nelson Sostre and his great-grandson Warren “Junior” Harmon.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service in Victor’s honor on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 12 p.m. at Glad Tidings Church, 2009 E. Fullers Cross Road, Ocoee, FL 34761.
A graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
