The Clermont Police Department is asking for help from the public to identify two individuals who allegedly scammed a local 7-Eleven out of more than $650.

On Monday, April 8, at around 7 p.m., a man and woman entered the 7-Eleven located at 189 U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont. While inside the store, they allegedly used a fraudulent coupon to scam an employee.

This incident caused the store to lose a total of $657.81, according to CPD.

After the alleged scam incident, the suspects entered a gray or green Ford pickup truck, possibly an F-150, and fled in an unknown direction.

The male suspect has a full beard and was wearing a green polo shirt, gray shorts, and a white hat at the time of the incident. The female suspect was described by police as being “heavyset,” and she was wearing a white T-shirt and light blue jeans.
