A 31-year-old man accused of fatally shooting two men at an illicit after-hours club in Pine Hills in March was arrested in Tennessee last week.
The fatal shooting occurred in the early morning hours on March 23. At around 3:35 a.m., Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 2700 block of N Pine Hills Road in Orlando in reference to shots being fired in the area.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found two men, identified as 56-year-old Errol Sylvester Irving and 49-year-old Joslyn Michael Gray, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to OCSO, an investigation into the shooting incident revealed that a man, identified as Christopher Daveian Haynes, had attended a party on March 23 at a tax office that was “”being used exclusively to host activities after-hours.”
The sheriff’s office stated that Haynes was at the party to allegedly target Gray. When the shooting occurred, Irving was standing near Gray, and both men were shot and killed.
Homicide detectives developed probable cause, and a warrant was issued for Haynes’ arrest on April 22. A month later, on May 22, the U.S. Marshals Service located and arrested Haynes in Nashville, Tennessee.
Haynes was transported to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Nashville, where he is currently awaiting extradition to Orange County to face two counts of first-degree murder.
