A 17-year-old murder suspect was arrested by Orlando police two weeks after a man was found shot to death inside a crashed vehicle.

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 30, the Orlando Police Department stated on social media that Tenaje Johnson, 17, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Christopher Louis Dumesle.

Earlier this month, on July 14, OPD officers responded to the intersection of Lake Lawne Avenue and Lawne Boulevard in reference to a vehicle that had crashed into a nearby residence.

When officers arrived at the intersection, they observed a man, later identified as Dumesle, who was suffering from a gunshot wound inside the crashed vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A homicide investigation was launched by OPD, which ultimately led investigators to identifying Johnson as a suspect in the case.

No further details were provided by Orlando police.

Johnson has been charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted robbery with a firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
