Universal Orlando recently released additional information about its new park, Epic Universe, providing details about its Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic section of the park.
Epic Universe will offer five different sections when it opens at Universal Orlando next year. In addition to the Harry Potter world, the park will feature Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, Celestial Park, and How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk.
“You’ll explore multiple eras of magical thrill and wonder,” according to Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative.
The expansion will feature “more adventures” inspired by the films in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts film series. That includes Wizarding Paris from the latter and the Ministry of Magic from the former.
In the video, representatives from the company emphasized the massive size of the new section, saying its smallest buildings are taller than the biggest buildings in Diagon Alley at Universal.
The Wizarding Paris portion will feature restaurants, shops, and other establishments that will all be stylized in a 1920s France motif.
In the heart of the park, “Le Cirque Arcanus” will offer a full-scale, indoor circus show with aerials, special effects, and puppetry that will bring creatures from the Fantastic Beasts series.
Earlier this year, Universal released a similar video providing initial details on Epic Universe, which will open with a large “chronos” that leads visitors through a “portal” into the Epic Universe’s first section, Celestial Park.
Each section of the park will feature multiple rides, attractions, shops, and dining options.
In addition to attractions, the park will also feature the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room facility that will be integrated “like no other theme park in the world,” according to Woodbury.
Last year, Loews Hotels announced two new resorts that will serve Epic Universe: Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort. The resorts are scheduled to open in January 2025.
