Box truck catches fire near power lines in Orlando

Orlando firefighters were dispatched to Silver Star Road over the weekend after a fire ignited inside a box truck, threatening nearby power lines.

According to the Orlando Fire Department, crews from several units responded to the 2500 block of Silver Star Road in the early morning hours on Sunday, September 15, after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, OFD crews observed a box truck that was engulfed in flames, with the fire posing a threat to a neighboring structure and power lines.

The firefighters sprang into action and quickly extinguished the flames inside the box truck.

There were no injuries reported.
