The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Orlando that wounded two 14-year-old boys on Wednesday evening.

At around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, OCSO deputies responded to the 2300 block of Huntington Green Court in reference to shots being fired in the area, according to the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located a 14-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of “life-threatening injuries.”

OCSO stated that another 14-year-old boy later showed up at the hospital for treatment of a “non-life-threatening gunshot wound.”

While conducting an investigation into the shooting, OCSO detectives determined that both teens were likely shot during the same incident.

“At this time, the investigation is still in its early stages, but our detectives do not believe this was a random act of violence,” stated the sheriff’s office in a media release on Thursday morning.

No further details were provided by law enforcement regarding the shooting incident or any potential suspect(s).
