The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 27-year-old man who was shot and killed in Pine Hills on Tuesday.
At around 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, OCSO deputies responded to the 4900 block of Homestead Road in reference to shots being fired in the area.
Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim, later identified as 27-year-old Elijah Levar Pratt, who had sustained a gunshot wound.
Pratt was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Two days later, on December 12, he died at the hospital from his injuries.
No further details were released by law enforcement regarding the shooting incident or any potential suspect(s).
In an update, OCSO stated on Thursday that an investigation into the fatal shooting remains “active and ongoing.”
