Donald Whitten, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 17th at the age of 93.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra, who passed away in 2021. Donald was an Air Force veteran, an accountant and native Floridian, living all of his life in Central Florida. He dedicated his life to his family, always putting their needs first.
Donald was known for his dry sense of humor and talent for building amazing miniatures. He had a garden railway and built a brass locomotive, boats and RC airplanes by hand, including forging metal parts. Donald also loved flying and owned several planes. He enjoyed traveling and was at his happiest when his grandchildren visited.
He is survived by his children, Donald (Sherrill), Michael (Wendy) and Robert (Yvonne); and 43 grandchildren and great grandchildren. A small family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood St, Orlando, on January 3, 2025 at 11:30 a.m.
