Firefighters found two cats inside the home and safely brought them outside. One of the cats initially required oxygen support, though SCFD said in an update that both cats are “now doing fine.”

There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters.

After conducting an investigation, SCFD officials determined that the fire was caused by an air fryer in the kitchen.
