The University of Central Florida has released the schedule for its first year of football games as part of the Big 12 Conference.

The season kicks off on August 31 with a home game against Kent State. The Knights won’t play their first conference game until September 23, when they face off against Kansas State, who lost in last year’s Sugar Bowl to Alabama.

The conference season continues with matchups against Baylor at home, and Kansas and Oklahoma on the road. Additional in-conference opponents include West Virginia, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Houston. the Big 12 Championship game is scheduled for December 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Currently, the Big 12 conference has schools in Texas, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah, Ohio, and West Virginia. UCF will be the first and sole school located in the Sunshine State.

Eight of UCF’s nine conference games next year come against teams that played in postseason bowl games during the 2022 season.

Kickoff times for the first three weeks of the season will be announced later this summer, with the remainder of kickoff times being published by the Big 12 throughout the fall.
