A gas leak has prompted the closure of a Sanford road as crews work to address the issue.
On Thursday morning, Seminole County Fire Department crews responded to S Sylvan Drive in Sanford after reports of a gas leak. Officials says a natural gas line was hit, causing the leak.
Responding crews were able to stop the leak quickly. The roadway was closed as of 11:30 a.m. as crews waited for a utility company to continue repairs.
