Robert L. Noble, III

Robert L. “Bob” Noble, III passed away on July 18, 2023. He entered this life on August 5, 1932 in Brunswick, Georgia and would have been 91 this coming birthday. Although he contracted Polio as a young boy, he recovered and lived a very full and active life. He became an Eagle Scout in his teens, and as an adult he enjoyed a successful career in the Radio, Television and Entertainment industry.

In the early 70’s he served as the news anchor for WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, and some may recall his acting as the Butler in the Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner Theater shows for many years. While working in entertainment, he also served as the President of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association. Always looking for new opportunities, Bob also found success in the swimming pool industry designing and selling custom pools.

Much of his life was spent in the public domain. He felt comfortable in front of the camera and speaking to large groups of people. Yet, he also enjoyed teaching his Sunday school class and spending time with his friends at Conway United Methodist Church where he was an active member. He also spent time volunteering with the Marine Corp League and veteran causes. In his later years, the effects of Post-Polio Syndrome limited his ability to be as active as he once was, yet he focused his energies on writing and published two inspirational books during his final years.

Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Noble; and a daughter, Robin Noble of Santa Fe, NM.

A son, Steve Noble, predeceased him in 2012.

His family wishes to thank those who have helped make his last days so comfortable and rewarding.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Conway United Methodist Church, 3401 S Conway Rd, Orlando, FL 32812.
