Multiple municipalities will host Veteran’s Day ceremonies this week and weekend to honor veterans across the area.

The city of Sanford will host its Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, which is located at 110 W. Seminole Blvd. in Sanford. All are invited to the commemoration ceremony to honor and remember veterans, military service members, and those who lost their lives in service to the nation.

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings will host a ceremony honoring military veterans on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Orange County Administration Center at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue. Free parking will be available in the Orange County Parking Lot.

The city of Winter Park will host its community ceremony on Friday, November 10, at 10 a.m. at Shady Park at Hannibal Square, located at 721 West New England Avenue, in Winter Park. This event will be held in honor of all veterans who have served in any military campaign or branch in honor of the nation’s freedom and are invited to pay tribute to their dedicated service to our country. At 9:30 a.m., the public is invited to visit organizations that offer resources specifically for veterans. At 10 a.m., the official program will begin with musical tributes, anecdotal speakers, presentations of Quilts of Valor, and recognition of veterans according to the various military branches served.

The city of Ocoee will host a Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, November 9, at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center, which is located at 125 N Lakeshore Dr., in Ocoee. Festivities will be led by Lieutenant Colonel Yolanda Frazier, who served 30 years in the United States Army and is a businesswoman, ordained minister, author, counselor, motivational speaker, and inspirational speaker.
