Orlando government staff will host a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., vigil and march at City Hall this week.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Candlelight Vigil and March will take place Sunday, January 7, at 6 p.m. at Orlando City Hall, which is located at 400 South Orange Avenue.
At the event, participants will be greeted with a brief presentation followed by a march to First United Methodist Church for the Interfaith Multicultural Celebration.
That celebration will feature words by Bishop Derrick L. McRae.
The celebration’s theme is “We Cannot Turn Back” and includes representation from various faith traditions.
