A man was killed, and a woman was wounded, in a shooting that occurred near an Orlando intersection early Tuesday morning.
The fatal shooting occurred at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, in the area of Pershing Avenue and Goldenrod Road, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
OCSO deputies responded to the scene and observed two victims, a 19-year-old man and a woman in her 20s, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where the man was pronounced deceased. His name was not released by law enforcement.
The unidentified female victim’s injuries were described by the sheriff’s office as being “non-life-threatening.”
“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” stated OCSO in a media release on Tuesday morning.
