The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Orlando that left one man dead on Thursday afternoon.
According to OCSO, deputies responded to the 20700 block of Racine Street in Orlando at around 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, in reference to a shooting incident.
When deputies arrived, they found a man, later identified as 35-year-old Benjamin Elton Nicholls, who had been shot.
Nicholls was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
A homicide investigation was launched by OCSO. The sheriff’s office stated in a media release that all parties involved in the incident remained on scene and are cooperating with detectives.
No further details were provided by law enforcement regarding the shooting incident or any possible suspect(s).
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is also currently investigating a deadly shooting in an Orlando neighborhood that claimed the life of a man early Thursday morning.
