A 50-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges, including murder and robbery, for his alleged involvement in a home invasion in Orlando that left one man dead early Wednesday morning.  

According to the Orlando Police Department, officers responded to the Avalyn West Apartments on Ivey Lane at around 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, in reference to a suspicious incident.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male victim who was later identified as 46-year-old Jerome Thomas.

OPD launched a homicide investigation, which led detectives to identifying Carleton D. Sealey, 50, as a suspect.

On Saturday, December 21, an arrest warrant was executed for Sealey, and he was detained in handcuffs and transported to Orange County Jail.

Sealey is currently being held at Orange County Jail without bond, and he is facing the following charges: first-degree murder with a firearm, home invasion robbery, burglary of a dwelling with assault/battery with a firearm, and fraudulent use of credit cards exceeding $100.

No further details were provided by Orlando police regarding the deadly home invasion or Sealey’s alleged involvement.
